Female-first UGC platform Dorian partners with Women’s Game Fest

- Dorian is introducing an SDK to support titles built on visual novel engine Ren'Py.
- Winners of the WGF x Dorian Boost Track will be announced in November 2025.
Female-first UGC outfit Dorian has partnered with Women’s Game Fest to provide support for developers and promote use of its no-code platform for building story-based games.
Hosted by Studio Everium, Women’s Game Fest runs from September 1st to October 31st and acts as a celebration of games made for women. The event showcases finished titles and demos across all platforms on itch.io.
Through the WGF x Dorian Boost Track, entrants can bring their story-driven games to mobile and have the chance to receive a $500 grant, 1:1 coaching and promotion for titles created on Dorian.
The company is also introducing SDK support for games on visual novel engine Ren’Py so they run directly on its platform on mobile. These games are also eligible for the Boost Track.
Submissions for the Boost Track are open, with winners set to be announced in November 2025.
Broadening to a mobile audience
"Once we learned about Women’s Game Fest and its mission to celebrate games designed for women, we were all in - this is exactly what we stand for,” Dorian CEO Julia Palatovska told PocketGamer.biz.
“The last WFG game jam saw 200+ submissions, yet only about 10% were on mobile. Women are over half of mobile gamers, and on Dorian they’re close to 90% of our audience.
"We reached out to the WGF organisers to help talented WGF participants meet fans where they play. Discovery is tough on any platform, so we built Dorian as an accessible direct-to-consumer platform dedicated to female-first games.
“Fans are already looking here for visual novels and dating sims that were so popular among the last WGF submissions. We’re excited to help teams participating in Women's Game Fest reach new players and grow.”
Dorian was a finalist for Best Engine / Creation Platform at the recent Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards 2025.
