Ubisoft promotes from within for chief financial officer

Ubisoft is to promote from within to replace current chief financial officer Alain Martinez, who will retire at the end of the year.

Current chief financial planning officer Frédérick Duguet (pictured, main) will step into the role effective as of January 1st 2019.

The two will continue to work together in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.

Before joining Ubisoft, Duguet also worked with consumer goods corporation Procter & Gamble and shampoo brand L'Oréal between 2002 and 2009.

"The appointment of Frédérick as Ubisoft's Chief Financial Officer is excellent news for the Group,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.

“His expertise, intimate knowledge of the company and deep understanding of the value creation drivers in the video game industry are all assets that will greatly aid Ubisoft in its new development phase.
