Make-A-Wish launches new initiative to grant games industry-related wishes for critically ill children

- Tiered partnerships and non-financial options make it easy for any studio to get involved.
- The Games Industry Advisory Committee includes leaders from Square Enix, Bethesda, Bandai Namco, and more.
- Partnership with Raptor PR aims to share powerful wish stories and grow industry support.
Make-A-Wish International has launched the Infinite Wishes Initiative to bring the games industry together and grant wishes for children with critical illnesses.
The initiative was created to meet growing demand for gaming-related wishes such as building custom PCs, meeting developers and creating custom skins.
Make-A-Wish said the programme is offering tiered partnerships and non-financial options so companies of any size can contribute in ways that fit their goals and resources.
New pathways
The non-profit foundation has also formed a Games Industry Advisory Committee, now in its second year, featuring experts from Square Enix, Bethesda, Bandai Namco, 2K, Stream for a Cause, and Dames4Games to help guide its programme.
“Infinite Wishes is about creating pathways for the games industry to do great things, whether that’s funding wishes, hosting a livestream, or simply sparking a new idea for impact," said Make-A-Wish International charitable gaming and creators community manager April Stallings.
“We know how passionate and talented this community is. This initiative is about giving teams a purpose-driven outlet to rally around - one that lifts spirits, sparks creativity, and changes lives.”
Last month, Make-A-Wish partnered with Raptor PR on a pro bono basis to lead strategic communications for its games industry fundraising, focusing on sharing wish stories, building partnerships, and creating new opportunities.
