MLC Studio’s Global Games Alliance aims to curate deals, funding calls, job postings and more into one central hub

Indie artists network MLC Studio has launched a free initiative aiming to curate deals, opportunities, resources and more into one central hub, named the Global Games Alliance (GGA).
The goal is to provide insights for developers otherwise unable to keep up with all industry developments across the myriad platforms, newsletters, servers and events. To begin with, GGA will offer resources and guides from MLC’s network, Seyed’s 250 plus publisher and investor list and more.
Down the line, there are plans to release a weekly newsletter capturing the latest jobs, funding calls, awards, events and more into one locale. A gated Discord will also be made to enable discussions around job opportunities, workshops and exclusive events.
FOMO no more
MLC Studio’s founding partners include Games Jobs Direct, i3D.net, Midwest Games, COPA Gaming and over a dozen other contributors to its Perk Club, which will offer exclusive GGA discounts in tools, services and platforms.
Its target audience includes freelancers, those considering forming a studio, and studios which recently received funding and need support with scaling.
"I go to events all year long and still struggle to keep up. So imagine what developers miss if they’re not even in the room," said MCL Studio founder Max Louis.
"GGA is here to bring everything together and offer real, practical support to anyone trying to build or grow in games."
Building the foundations
In a blog post, the company acknowledged that far from every industry resource will be available from day one, but it aims to build a model that will achieve this through investing in the project and bringing aboard dedicated curators.
Paid memberships may also be added at a later date for access to bonus support that MLC’s partners would be unable to facilitate at a higher volume.
"One week you miss a funding deadline. The next, you find out too late that a perfect-for-you accelerator closed applications two days ago. Or that there was a grant you qualified for, but no one was shouting about it," the post stated.
"It’s chaotic. And the people who need them most are the ones most likely to miss out. The Global Games Alliance brings everything together. The key info, opportunities, deals and resources."
