Mobile Strike racks up over $1 billion in revenue for Machine Zone

Machine Zone’s MMO title Mobile Strike has brought in over $1 billion in revenue.

According to Sensor Tower, the war-themed game has made $1.3 billion across the App Store and Google Play since launching in 2015.

Regarding country, the US market has fared most kind, with 55 per cent of income hailing its players. Following on Japan proved the second most popular country and stumped up 13 per cent of revenue.

Last month Mobile Strike made over $4 million through player spending, which is down from its peak of $90 million, which came from March in 2017.


Sensor Tower notes, however, that attention has likely shifted to MZ’s MMO Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire, which has made $380 million since its June 2017 lunch.

Mobile Strike isn’t the first of MZ’s games to net the California-based mobile games developer over $1 billion.

Strategy hit Game of War went beyond and surpassed $2.8 billion in revenue since launching just over five years ago.

Game of War has seen over $1 billion come in from both iOS and Google Play, with $1.6 billion coming in from the former and $1.2 coming in from the latter. 

The news follows MZ placing 18th in our Top 50 Mobile Developers list for 2018.
