Monopoly Go assembles the Avengers in Marvel crossover event

• The partnership is part of a broader collaboration between Scopely and Marvel Games

Scopely's Monopoly Go has teamed up with some of earth's mightiest heroes in a Marvel crossover event. 

As reported by Variety, the collaboration will bring several Marvel superheroes to the board game including Deadpool, Black Panther, Hulk, Spider-Man and other members of the Avengers. 

The event will kick-off on Thursday, September 26th and will allow fans of the game to immerse themselves in a series of events inspired by the Marvel universe. 

Start of something new

More information on the collaboration will be revealed before the crossover event gets underway. The partnership is said to be part of a broader collaboration between Scopely and Marvel Games. 

“When I first reached out to them, I didn’t know how they would respond, and the reason why is because it’s not an obvious place for Marvel to show up,” said Scopely's SVP of publishing Eric Wood. 

“And so when we first started to discuss with them, they were open to it, but they were also curious more so than anything of like, ‘Okay, but why?’ And to their credit, they were very open in thinking through what this could look like." 

Since its release in April 2023, Monopoly Go has become the fastest game to reach $3 billion in worldwide consumer spending after just 473 days.
