Netflix has made changes to its lineup of upcoming games, shelving several previously announced titles from its service.

As reported by What’s on Netflix, the streaming giant has cancelled six upcoming games that were intended to join the platforms catalogue, including Compass Point: West, Don't Starve Together for mobile, Lab Rat, Rotwood, Thirsty Suitors and Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game.

A Netflix spokesperson confirmed that these games would no longer be released, explaining that they were “part of adjusting our portfolio as we learn more about what our members like.”

Netflix Games releasing in 2025

Despite cancelling several titles, Netflix is set to add new games to its catalogue in 2025. WWE 2K mobile games will become exclusive to Netflix this autumn.

The Netflix Stories series will also expand, featuring new interactive mobile games based on popular shows like Sweet Magnolias, Outer Banks, Love Is Blind NYC, Ginny & Georgia, and Squid Game: Unleashed.

Netflix appears to be in the process of defining its catalogue and altering it to align better with its existing audience with a renewed focus on its IPs, such as the recent Squid Game Unleashed, which has surpassed 10 million downloads and already sits as one of the company's most downloaded titles to date.
