Candy Crush dev King launches new IP Diamond Diaries Saga on iOS and Android

Candy Crush developer King has released a new IP called Diamond Diaries Saga.

The physics-based linker game was soft-launched on Android on October 30th last year after initially appearing as Royal Boulevard Saga, which was soft-launched in August 2016.

Diamond Diaries Saga subsequently released in Argentina, Portugal, Spain, Mexico, Poland, New Zealand, Ireland, Norway, Italy and Turkey before going global.

Much like other King titles, Diamond Diaries Saga is a casual title. Gameplay revolves around drawing links between objects of matching colours to clear the board and complete objectives.

It is available on the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store.

“At King, we are always looking to make games that people love to play and ultimately, develop new experiences that become equally as iconic and beloved as our popular gaming franchises, such as Candy Crush and Bubble Witch,” said Diamond Diaries Saga senior producer Delphine Sassi.

“The team are very excited to release this new physics-based linker game. It’s unlike anything we have done before, the artwork is spectacular and feedback from our research groups has been very positive.

“This game really brings the whole world to your fingertips.”
