Roblox has launched a new Learning Hub to provide users with access to a range of educational experiences from top creators.

The platform lets users learn through play, with activities like online safety training, vocabulary building, and math games.

Roblox users will soon be able to explore geography in Planet Planners, a new BBC Bitesize experience for ages 11 to 14. Developed by Playerthree, it teaches real-world challenges like natural disasters and city planning.

Moreover, kids can learn online safety with Google Be Internet Awesome World, or code in Lua through Lua Learning. Math skills are sharpened in Math Tower Race, while Mission: Mars offers a science-focused space adventure.

Younger users can solve STEM puzzles with Sesame Street Mecha Builders, create games in Studio Lite, and boost vocabulary and emotional literacy in Words of Power.

New ways to learn

Roblox said the new hub is designed to engage students through play as it provides parents and educators with a focused way to guide learning on the platform.

“Our new Learning Hub becomes available just as many students around the world are out of school for summer break,” said Roblox VP of education Rebecca Kantar.

“Whether students are looking to try building a game for the first time or to practice skills they’ll need again for the fall, our Learning Hub serves as a convenient front door.

“We aim to give more and more Roblox users globally access to subject and grade-level-appropriate content that will ignite their genuine interest in learning.”

Last week, Roblox introduced new safety and privacy features including Trusted Connections for users aged 13 and up to chat with known contacts as well as improved tools to manage notifications, screen time, and privacy.
