Rovio confirms no plans to move HQ to Ireland

Rovio has again dismissed claims it's planning to move its headquarters from Finland to Ireland, claiming it comments were "taken out of context."
Chatter pointing to the move had originally built following an interview with CEO Mikael Hed with Irish Central, in which the paper claimed Hed was "considering" moving his company to Ireland to take advantage of its low rate of corporation tax.
No change
Rovio quickly moved to deny such claims, claiming the site had a "clear agenda" to build up the profile of Ireland in the business world.
Now, speaking to Edge, VP of franchise development Ville Heijari has further dismissed any such talk.
"The story was rather unfortunately taken out of context from a purely speculative conversation," said Heijari.
"We've had contact from Irish authorities regarding international business opportunities, as has presumably every other company in our business. However, our HQ is staying in Finland, and there are no plans to move anywhere."
