Supercell has teased its next new game called Boat Game and has opened applications for its alpha test.

The title's reveal trailer depicted character customisation screens, sailing boats, island exploration and multiplayer shooter-style gameplay.

Revealed today, Supercell is currently keeping many details of Boat Game under wraps but is accepting alpha test sign-ups, meaning a limited number of players will get to try it our early.

“Currently, we can only share this game with a limited number of players this time and we would like to bring it to a diverse group of players," Supercell wrote on the alpha sign-up page.

The upcoming title also has its own Myspace page, one of the first popular social media websites that was later ousted by the likes of Facebook but continues to remain active. A call to action was made via Bluesky, requesting “boat operators” for the alpha test.

A multi-platform title?

Supercell's alpha test sign-up form for Boat Game includes a question about which devices users own, including: iOS, Android and other platforms like Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, raising questions whether it could be a multi-platform title. All of Supercell's released and soft-launched titles since Hay Day and Clash of Clans have been on mobile.

The reveal of Boat Game comes shortly after Supercell confirmed a record $3 billion in revenue during 2024, achieved as each of its live games saw year-over-year sales growth for the first time since 2014.

The company, which launched Squad Busters last year, is also developing Project R.I.S.E., an RPG rogue-lite inspired by the shelved Clash Heroes.
