Supercell’s mo.co launches today as studio’s seventh global game - but there’s a catch

Clash of Clans maker Supercell is launching its latest game mo.co globally today, March 18th, 2025.
Nearly 18 months on from a successful beta test, the portal-hopping adventure title is returning with a full release, having skipped the soft launch phase but remaining invite-only for the foreseeable future.
Over the first 48 hours, invites are expected to be distributed via content creators who will display limited-time QR codes during livestreams. Viewers will be able to scan these codes to download mo.co on their iOS or Android device.
After this, Supercell fans must apply online for a chance to play, answering a few simple questions and submitting their email address. Players who reach Level 5 in-game will also become eligible to share their own invites.

The invite-only launch looks set to encourage a buzz around the new game on social media, as mo.co community hunting specialist João Freitas encouraged fans on Reddit to "look up #joinmoco on social media and streaming platforms" in order to find recruiters.
mo.co also has its own channels on YouTube, X (Twitter), Instagram, Discord and TikTok.
World-jumping release
In mo.co, players don the mantle of a world-jumping monster hunter, researching Chaos Energy, exploring dungeons across parallel worlds and gathering new gear and loot.
Players in the US first got a taste of the gameplay and characters via a beta test in October 2023. But with Supercell’s reputation for axeing projects before global release - the result of high expectations for the next hit game - mo.co’s global launch was never a guarantee.
Its worldwide release today indicates implicit confidence in the title, therefore, landing as the developer’s seventh fully launched game in almost 15 years.
The global release also follows a little over nine months on from 2024’s Squad Busters, Supercell’s biggest launch yet. Featuring an ensemble cast from the studio’s pre-established IP, Squad Busters raced past an estimated $50 million in player spending in its first two months but failed to keep pace with its predecessors.
Despite Squad Busters' modest success for a Supercell title, especially as the studio’s first game in over five years, Supercell’s next launch mo.co has come significantly quicker.
