The Battle of Polytopia Global World Championship set to kick off with $10,000 prize pool

Midjiwan’s The Battle of Polytopia is set to host the Polytopia World Championship with a $10,000 prize pool, marking the biggest competitive event in the game’s nine-year history.
Kicking off this autumn, the tournament will take place on the Polytopia Official Space via the Challengermode esports platform with a live final to be broadcast from Stockholm.
In line with a theme of ‘Battle of the Tribes’, participants will choose from 12 in-game tribes and progress through open qualifiers, tribe-specific playoffs, and elimination rounds on the path to the finals.
New offerings
Matches are scheduled across several weeks from September 13th to November 23rd, occurring on Thursdays and Fridays. The top six players will compete in the live finals in Stockholm on December 6th.
Those looking to compete will need to set up an account on the Challengermode platform.
“This marks a major new step for Polytopia’s competitive scene, featuring a fresh tournament format and enhanced broadcasting that makes it even more exciting for viewers to watch, learn and get inspired by the world’s top players," said Midjiwan AB CEO Christian Lovstedt.
The award-winning 4X strategy game was first released in 2016 and has since expanded to multiple platforms, including mobile, PC and Nintendo Switch. It also landed on Apple Arcade last year with all DLC included.
