Direct-to-consumer platform Appcharge has partnered with environmental rewards outfit Dots.eco to help drive real-world ecological impact through gameplay.

Developers can now let players support real-world conservation efforts such as tree planting or plastic removal through web store purchases.

Since 2022, Dots.eco has planted over one million trees, which led to the removal of over 719,000 pounds of ocean plastic, and helped protect more than 850,000 sea turtles.

Dots.eco said the collaboration with Appcharge highlights its commitment to expanding climate impact across new industries and empowering broader participation.

Creating impact 

A recent campaign with Candivore’s Match Masters enabled players to support environmental causes through gameplay and web store purchases. It was claimed this resulted in a 40% boost in daily active users and a 100% increase in first-time deposits.
