Webzen launches casual games publishing brand Appmigos

But stays clear of hyper-casual

Webzen launches casual games publishing brand Appmigos

Webzen subsidiary Cherryhill has launched a new mobile casual games publishing brand named Appmigos.

South Korean mobile and PC online developer Webzen is known best for its MU series of games including MU Origin, MU Online and MU Legend.

Global reach

The new Appmigos arm has already published titles including arcade runner Space Girl Across the Universe and Jigsaw Puzzle Amigos worldwide on the App Store and Google Play.

The titles have been localised into numerous languages including Korean, Japanese, Chinese and English.

Jigsaw Puzzle Amigos is one of the first titles to be published under the Appmigos brand

Other titles in the works include Fire Gun and Dungeon Simulator set tor release later this year, as well as other projects.

The games do not appear to be ‘hyper-casual’, an increasingly trendy genre for publishers to break into. It’s currently dominated by the likes of Voodoo and Playgendary.
