Buzz Lightyear joins Brawl Stars in Toy Story crossover

Supercell has partnered with Disney and Pixar to bring Toy Story's Buzz Lightyear to Brawl Stars. 

Buzz will be a limited-time release in Brawl Stars and will not be available in ranked matches. He will be the first unlockable reward in the Brawliday calendar, a new in-game feature for the holiday season. 

The collaboration brings new cosmetic items, including Colt Woody, Bo Beep Bibi, Jessie Jessie, and Surge Lightyear. Buzz debuts today and will be available to play from December 12th until February 4th, 2025. 

Supercell said Buzz's Season Trophies will still count towards the current Season's Trophy Box, even if he leaves the game before the January Season ends.

A broad appeal

The collaboration highlights Brawl Stars’ efforts to engage with the broad audience tied to the Toy Story franchise, as the movies appeal to adults and children alike. 

Elsewhere, Supercell has acquired the remaining stake in London-based Space Ape Games, making it a 100% owner and further strengthening its presence in the UK game development scene. 

This acquisition allows Supercell to establish a new office in central London, joining its existing studios in Helsinki, Shanghai, San Francisco, and Seoul.
