CLASH: A Clash of Clans Netflix show is now in pre-production

The Clash of Clans universe is on its way to Netflix with a new animated series called CLASH.
The show is set to feature the Barbarian and other iconic characters, bringing elements of Clash of Clans and Clash Royale to television screens.
The show has been greenlit and is already in pre-production, with results promised to be "epic, hilarious and more than a little unhinged".
Animation incoming
CLASH is expected to take a comical twist on the politics of war, following the Barbarian - characterised as determined but "in over his head" - on a mission to rally misfits and defend his village.
Fletcher Moules is taking on the role of showrunner, having prior experience with Supercell as the director of past Clash of Clans animated YouTube videos. He has also been involved in Netflix animations like Agent Elvis and Entergalactic.
Ron Weiner has been confirmed as head writer, of Arrested Development and Futurama acclaim.
Vancouver-based company ICON Creative Studio is leading animation.
Supercell confirmed the adaptation with a YouTube teaser today, May 20th, making light of the sheer number of times the company has been asked to make a TV show by fans. The official announcement has come days after the studio’s 15th birthday.

Supercell's plans to expand outside of games became apparent last month with a job listing for a senior film and TV development executive in LA, California, to drive the development of IP-related projects.
"We’re thrilled to be working with Netflix and this creative team to bring the world of CLASH to life," said Supercell head of film and TV Curtis Lelash.
"Think epic battles, immaculate Barbarian moustaches, and the kind of humour our players know and love. They’ve been asking for a CLASH series forever, and we're beyond excited to finally say: it’s happening!"
Netflix VP of animation series John Derderian added: "CLASH has been a global gaming phenomenon for over a decade - filled with humour, action and unforgettable characters perfect for an animated series adaptation.
"Working with the incredible team at Supercell, Fletcher Moules and Ron Weiner, we’re bringing all the fun, chaos and spirit of the world of CLASH to life in a whole new way. We can’t wait for fans - old and new - to experience the mayhem."
