Epic Games Store and Fortnite coming to iOS in Brazil this July

Epic Games plans to launch its mobile app store and Fortnite on iOS in Brazil this July.
The official Fortnite Brazil X (formerly Twitter) account shared the news following a recent ruling requiring Apple to allow third-party app installations in the country within 90 days.
“Fortnite will return to iOS devices in the country via the Epic Games Store in July, following the CADE (Administrative Council for Economic Defense) victory in court against Apple," the account wrote.
Regulatory battle
The ruling supports an investigation into Apple’s alleged dominance in iOS app distribution, aiming to give users more purchasing options.
The Brazilian judge who ruled in favour of CADE noted that Apple has previously complied with similar obligations in other countries. However, the iPhone maker plans to appeal the ruling.
The Epic Games Store is currently available in the European Union on the App Store, thanks to the Digital Markets Act, though Epic must comply with Apple’s alternative business terms.
