1) Jam City agrees deal to sell Ludia

Jam City has agreed in principle to sell subsidiary Ludia to a consortium of Canadian institutional investors, in a deal currently pending approval.

The agreement would see the consortium acquire Ludia and its games catalogue, which includes mobile titles Jurassic World: The Game, Jurassic World Alive, Ninja Turtles: Legends and more. Jam City doesn’t expect the deal to have a significant impact on its business.

2) Unity revenue falls 25% in Q4 as engine and ads segments see declines

Unity’s revenue fell by 25% year-over-year to $457 million in the last quarter of 2024. This decline was attributed to a "portfolio reset".

The company’s Create Solutions revenue – encompassing game engine sales – declined by 47% to $152m. Net losses improved, meanwhile, from $254m in Q4 2023 to $123m in Q4 2024.

3) Rainbow Six Mobile revenue surges as Ubisoft chases a global launch

Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Mobile has seen downloads and revenue surge in January and February, following its entry into phase two of soft launch.

According to AppMagic data, player spending on the App Store and Google Play rose by 1,404% month-on-month in January to $53,400, bolstered by the game’s expansion into France.

4) Last War: Survival surpasses $2bn after record player spending in early 2025

FirstFun’s Last War: Survival surpassed $2 billion in player spending between the App Store and Google Play on February 15th, 2025.

AppMagic estimates show the milestone was reached after a record $212m was generated in January 2025, the game’s most lucrative month yet. February’s earnings are on track to reach even higher.

5) Niantic reportedly in talks to sell Pokémon Go and games business to Scopely for $3.5bn

Niantic is reportedly in talks to sell its games business to Scopely for approximately $3.5 billion, in a deal believed to include flagship AR game Pokémon Go.

The acquisition may be officially announced "in coming weeks" with Niantic’s whole mobile games library potentially up for grabs – including Go, Monster Hunter Now, Pikmin Bloom and more. These games would ultimately come under the ownership of Saudi Arabia's Savvy Games Group, which owns Scopely.
