Messaging app EA Connect soft launches on mobile in Canada

EA has soft-launched a mobile app for its messaging platform EA Connect in Canada.

Its available across platforms and is typically accessible in-game. Players can search for friends using their EA ID or their username on other platforms such as Steam, Nintendo, PlayStation Network and Xbox.

Once connected, users can talk one-to-one or with a group through standard chat and one-tap template messages, invite each other to start a party and play a game, while, in select titles, they manage and interact with the ‘clubs’ they are part of.

Players will also be able to see players they’ve recently met during online play and send a connection request.

Effectively, it's like using Discord but with a platform built for EA games.

Integrated functionality

The EA Connect mobile app, which was released on July 25th, is available on both the App Store and Google Play in Canada only.

EA Connect is currently integrated into EA Sports College Football 25, EA Sports FC 24, EA Sports FC 25, FIFA 23, Madden NFL 25, NHL 24, and NHL 25.
