Rovio soft-launches yet another Angry Birds title, Angry Birds Blast

Rovio has yet another entry of its flagship bird-based franchise in soft-launch called Angry Birds Blast.

The game was first released on 12 July 2016, and is currently available in Australia, Finland, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Poland, and the United Kingdom.

It sees players popping balloons containing the titular Angry Birds, and linking together long chains of the balloons to trigger high scores.

Angry Birds Blast joins four other Rovio games in soft launch;

• Angry Birds Holiday, a management sim;
• Angry Birds Goal!, a football game;
• Battle Bay, a multiplayer arena shooter; and
• Pet Monsters, a midcore Monster Strike-style pinball game.

It's also part of a growing trend of games launched in the United Kingdom, an unusual soft-launch market with no specific reasoning behind its growing popularity.
