Mobile games developer SciPlay has invested $4 million into a newly renovated 27,000-square-foot studio in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

The developer said its newly expanded Cedar Falls office, featuring collaborative spaces, wellness design, and a “Level Up Lounge,” is located at the same address as before.

SciPlay has over 900 employees, including 145 in Cedar Falls, and is actively hiring developers, engineers, and analysts to support its continued growth.

The company follows a hybrid model, with in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The expansion will strengthen ties to the region where it first released the card game Jackpot Party Casino Slots.

A hub for creative talent

SciPlay plans to keep growing titles like Jackpot Party, which topped 100m downloads and won multiple awards in 2024.

The developer said its Cedar Falls team has been key to its success, and the studio expansion reinforces its focus on talent as a major growth driver.

“SciPlay’s home has been Cedar Falls since our founding more than 25 years ago – and while we’ve grown into a global company since that time, we’ve also seen the Cedar Valley grow as a burgeoning hub for technical and creative talent,” said SciPlay CEO Josh Wilson told PocketGamer.biz.
