Esports lounge True Gamers has secured $5 million in a seed funding round.

As reported by GamesMEA, the company intends to use the funds to scale its presence across the MENA region and Europe by expanding its network and growing its brand.

True Gamers is now expanding through franchising and venture capital, targeting 10% of the US, European, and MENA gaming café markets by 2030.

Esports growth

The Esports café was founded in 2019 by Anton Vasilenko and Vladislav Belyanin. It operates 14 game cafés in the UAE and is expanding with 10 more locations across the UAE, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Germany, and France.

In January 2024, True Gamers landed a $45m investment to establish more than 150 esports facilities in Saudi Arabia.

“The expansion into Saudi Arabia will elevate True Gamers' global presence and play a pivotal role in propelling the growth of the Kingdom's eSports industry," said True Gamers founder and CEO Anton Vasilenko.

"We at True Gamers value cybersport enthusiasts, and we are honoured  to bring new opportunities for such people in the Kingdom and develop the gaming culture to the next level.”
