Turkish mobile games start-up Agave Games has raised $18 million in Series A funding.

The studio aims to use the investment to launch new games and continue development on its hidden object title Find the Cat, which racked up 10m downloads in its first quarter. It also plans to double its workforce in Istanbul over the next 18 months.

The company was founded by Alper Oner, ex-Good Job Games product manager Burak Kar, former Fugo Games head of growth Baran Terzioglu, and ex-Good Job Games studio lead Oguzhan Merdivenli.

The investment round was co-led by Felix Capital and Balderton Capital with participation from E2VC. It raises the company's total funding to $25.5m with a $100m post-money valuation.

Pushing boundaries

“This investment allows us to double down on Find the Cat’s success while exploring new ideas that will redefine casual puzzle gaming," said Agave co-founder Alper Oner. “We’re excited to take our studio to the next level by expanding our team and portfolio with games that set new standards within established genres.”

Agave CPO Baran Terzioglu added: “Our upcoming titles will push the boundaries of what players expect from casual games, introducing new concepts that we believe will resonate globally, just like Find the Cat did.”

Felix Capital partner Julien Codorniou also commented: “Agave Games has achieved something extraordinary with Find the Cat—creating a simple yet deeply engaging game that has captivated millions of players. We rarely see such growth and retention metrics and we are thrilled to double down on this very special team.”
