Hybridcasual mobile studio Surpass Games has secured a $1.5 million investment from Laton Ventures.

As reported by Swipeline, the funds will support the creation of new titles and strengthen its game development team. The Türkiye-based studio also plans to expand its team with new hires.

Surpass Games is led by CEO and co-founder Ensar Kelez, formerly head of product at Fomo Games. The company was formed in 2025 with a focus on developing hybridcasual puzzle titles.

Kelez is joined by former Zynga data analytics specialist Bahadır Kelez, now director of data and analytics at Surpass, while former Alictus talent and acquisition specialist Begüm Özdemir has joined as HR manager.

The developer stated that its team also includes industry professionals with experience from Insider and Imaginite Studios.

Aiming high

“To achieve our goal of becoming a leader in the hybridcasual market, we will rapidly expand our team and accelerate our game development processes following this investment," said Kelez.

“By optimising our games in every aspect, we aim to provide players with higher quality and more innovative experiences. With Laton Ventures’ support, we strive to become the fastest-growing and leading company in this market.”

Laton Ventures co-founder Görkem Türk added: “Ensar has strong experience thanks to his deep involvement in successful hybridcasual projects in the past. Surpass has managed to establish a strong team in a short period of time.

“[At] Laton, we will continue to support teams like Surpass, with high potential to become pioneers in the gaming industry.”
