Ubisoft unsure about profitability of iPhone

Despite muscling out sister company Gameloft when it came to transferring big console licences such as Assassin's Creed II to iPhone, in an analysts' call following the announcement of its Q3 FY10 financials figure, Ubisoft wasn't yet too excited about iPhone.
While saying that early iPhone game sales were good, they apparently weren't good enough to encourage the publisher to bring more of its brands wholesome to the App Store.
"It doesn't seem to be as profitable as on the other platforms," Kotaku quoted a company spokesman as saying.
It will continue to release some iPhone games however with Anno Dawn of Discovery: The Harbor and Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic announced for launch later in the spring.
Development work will be split between Ubisoft and Gameloft.
