Xsolla partners with Defold to simplify in-game purchases for web developers

Games commerce company Xsolla has partnered with cross-platform game engine Defold to simplify monetisation for web games built with Defold and published on CrazyGames.
Both parties have also launched a new SDK that allows developers to implement in-game purchasing functionality without a manual API setup.
Launched ahead of the ‘CrazyGames x Defold Game Jam’ taking place from June 13th to 15th, the partnership aims to help developers focus on game creation while Xsolla handles the commerce infrastructure.
Opening new doors
The partnership also supports Xsolla’s broader mission to foster ecosystem collaboration and expand alternative distribution channels.
“Xsolla has always focused on simplifying the path to monetisation, especially for developers looking to reach players across platforms,” said Xsolla chief strategy and communications officer Chris Hewish.
“Our partnership with Defold opens new doors for browser game developers, especially as the CrazyGames community continues to expand. We’re excited to deliver a fast, intuitive, and well-designed solution with developers in mind.”
Defold product owner Björn Ritzl commented: “Helping developers do more with less is core to Defold’s mission.
“By working with Xsolla, we’re giving our community tools to monetise games more easily, particularly in the rapidly growing web gaming space. This is a huge win for our developers heading into the Game Jam.”
