The Pokemon Company has partnered with DeNA to release a new Pokemon game for mobile before the end of March 2020.
The partnership was announced during DeNA’s investor briefing. No other details on the title were revealed, with further information to be released at a later date.
Big success
The Pokemon IP has found big success on mobile. Niantic’s Pokemon Go has continued to generate large amounts of revenue since its 2016 release with the title surpassing the $2.5 billion mark in in-app purchase sales in April this year.
The Pokemon Company recently launched a Pokemon Pass mobile app that grants digital rewards when visiting retail stores in the US.
DeNA has previously worked with Nintendo on many of its mobile properties including Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and its upcoming summer release, Mario Kart Tour.
