The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has launched the Esports Nations Cup (ENC), a global tournament where players represent their countries in a national format.

The inaugural ENC will be co-developed with EA, Krafton, Tencent, and Ubisoft, who will shape national rankings, qualification paths, and event formats.

The tournament will be held every two years, giving stability for players, teams, and partners while extending the Esports World Cup’s mission to national-level competition.

Debuting in Riyadh in November 2026, it will later adopt a rotating host model to showcase esports national teams worldwide.

Nation Vs. nation

The tournament will host national teams from every major region, competing in both solo and team formats through a qualification system that combines global rankings, regional qualifiers, and Wildcard entries for inclusion.

All players will receive guaranteed prize money with equal rewards across games, while regional stakeholders will help shape team formation and representation.

“Nation versus nation competition is the ultimate expression of sport,” said Esports World Cup Foundation CEO Ralf Reichert. “The ENC makes this a reality for esports, giving every fan a flag to rally behind and every player the pride of representing their country.

“It’s a stage to create heroes, inspire the next generation, and, together with our partners and stakeholders, build the national ecosystems that will accelerate the growth of esports worldwide.”
