Riyadh-based game developer Superbullet Studios has raised 1.1 million riyals ($300,000) to accelerate development of Roblox titles.

The developer told PocketGamer.biz that it will use the funds to double down on marketing its flashing title SuperbulletAI, scaling Roblox games production, and hiring a lean, talented team.

Founded in early 2024, Superbullet Studios is developing Roblox titles with AI-driven workflows and next-generation entertainment ecosystems.

In its soft launch, the developer said SuperbulletAI generated $3,650 in sales from 1,110 users in three weeks with no marketing.

Success driven

Merak Capital led the round as part of its Excel by Merak gaming accelerator.

“As a studio, we’ve already accumulated ~200m visits on Roblox, and we remain committed to launching many new games," said Superbullet CEO and co-founder Erickson Talaue. “We’re proud to be the fastest studio in Merak’s first batch - the only one to have launched 12+ games in a single year.

“With SuperbulletAI, we can now make Roblox games up to 10x faster, strengthening our role as the future ‘game factory’ of Saudi Arabia. On Roblox, gameplay variety drives success, so our speed in releasing diverse titles is a strategic edge.

“Being a Gen Z-led team matters too: overestimated 50% of Roblox’s most successful creators - including most of the top 10 earning $50m+ yearly - come from Gen Z or those ages 18-24.

“With Merak’s support, we’re doubling down on marketing SuperbulletAI, scaling Roblox games production, and hiring a lean, talented team."
