Supercell is looking to make multiple hires for its Entertainment and Partnerships team as efforts to grow its brands outside of games continue.

The four roles the Clash of Clans maker is looking to fill are franchise brand marketer, director of brand partnerships, licencing director of consumer products and coordinator in Los Angeles, California.

Bill Kang, head of Supercell’s Entertainment and Partnerships team, teased a "whole slate of unannounced projects" on LinkedIn and highlighted the company’s current search for talent.

His post has come just weeks after Supercell confirmed a Netflix series inspired by Clash of Clans and Clash Royale is in the works, set to bring elements and characters from both games to television screens.

Films, TV, t-shirts and more

After seeking out an LA-based senior film and TV development executive earlier this year, Supercell’s latest hiring initiative indicates plans to not only expand further into other forms of media but also into physical goods and merchandise.

The licencing director of consumer products, for example, will be involved in "toys to tees to things we can’t even tease yet", with responsibilities including working with licencing agents, crafting pitch decks and collaborating with Supercell’s legal, marketing and games teams.

The director of brand partnerships role will require someone who can "lead the search, negotiation and execution of trendsetting brand collaborations", with Supercell particularly hoping for someone experienced in partnerships with consumer products such as apparel or footwear.

Meanwhile, the franchise brand marketer will undertake "big-picture brand thinking" across film and television initiatives as well as live experiences. The individual hired for this new role will be responsible for setting the creative standard and unlocking long-term brand value.

In each of these three roles, Supercell is looking for professionals with over a decade of experience, able to work full-time and based in Los Angeles.

The fourth role, coordinator in LA, is contract only and more of an early career role, but still "high impact".

"We’re hiring - and I’d love your help. The Entertainment & Partnerships team at Supercell is growing fast, with a whole slate of unannounced projects (which I can't wait to reveal to our players) picking up serious momentum," said Kang.

"To keep up, we’re looking for thoughtful, talented people who are as obsessed as we are with serving our players - by bringing our worlds and characters to life beyond our games."

That expansion beyond games also includes a board game called Clash of Clans: The Epic Raid, currently on Kickstarter.
