Team Vitality expands into Southeast Asia with Bigetron Esports acquisition

Esports club Team Vitality has acquired Indonesia's Bigetron Esports to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia and the mobile games market.
Team Vitality now has teams competing in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and Honor of Kings.
As part of the acquisition, Bigetron Esports will rebrand as ‘Bigetron by Vitality' to honour its local legacy while integrating with Team Vitality's mobile games efforts.
All esports teams will also compete under the ‘Bigetron by Vitality’ banner in their respective tournaments, with those qualifying for the Esports World Cup representing Team Vitality
Moreover, Bigetron CEO Edwin Chia, Team Vitality's CEO Nicolas Maurer, and corporate director Danny Engels will jointly lead the new mobile entity.
Furthermore, Bigetron's social media channels, which have over 6.8 million followers, will also be rebranded as ‘Bigetron by Vitality' to integrate with Team Vitality's network.
Shaping a long-term future
Team Vitality now has over 170 employees across three offices in Paris, Berlin, and Jakarta, adding 50 new staff members. The esports organisation currently has 19 teams competing in 15 games.
