Casual gaming special Big Fish has announced it is to plug its extensive library into a new cloud gaming service for multiple platforms, unveiled at Casual Connect in Seattle.
Already available on PC browsers in the US, Big Fish Unlimited will soon also be rolled out across smartphones, tablets, connected TVs and Mac, allowing gamers to take on titles on one device before carrying on via another.
Big play
"Big Fish Unlimited is a new way for customers to enjoy our games," said founder and CEO Paul Thelen.
"While our downloadable PC and mobile games businesses are thriving, Big Fish Unlimited enables us to quickly reach new customers on new devices and in new territories."
The company claims around 100 games are currently available for the service, but it plans to deploy further titles from its 2,500 strong library with new games each and every week.
"The game play mechanics of our catalog of casual titles are ideally suited to this new delivery technology; anyone with a typical broadband internet connection will be able to use this service," added VP and GM of cloud gaming Will OBrien.
Big Fish claims the vast majority of games in its library won't need to be updated or ported to run on the new service, either, with support for additional platforms set to be announced throughout the coming year.
