PopCap and EA Mobile have already enjoyed a successful nine year distribution deal with Bejeweled, so it makes sense to double up for another casual classic.
Zuma's Revenge!, PopCap's new take on the marble popping genre, will benefit from EA Mobile's muscle with a new version being rolled out globally over the summer, starting in the US and Europe during August.
Previous Zuma games was distributed by Glu Mobile.
Popping the ball
"Continuing the relationship between PopCap and EA Mobile further demonstrates our dedication to bringing the best games to mobile platforms," said Adam Sussman, veep of worldwide publishing for EA Mobile.
"Zuma's Revenge! now joins EA's celebrated catalog of prominent global brands available on the mobile platform and will be accessible to consumers wherever they want to play."
"The mobile phone is an excellent platform for Zuma's Revenge!," said Andrew Stein, director of business development, mobile at PopCap.
"Given our successful and continuing collaboration on Bejeweled, we are very pleased to be expanding our working relationship with EA Mobile.
"Zuma is one of our most popular franchises - our biggest intellectual property next to Bejeweled - and Zuma's Revenge! is a total refresh of the classic marble-busting game with great graphics and gameplay."
