Largest Japanese social mobile games company GREE is expanding into China with an agreement that will see its GREE platform offered through Tencent, one of the largest Chinese integrated internet service providers.
Tencent runs the various portals including the QQ messaging, web and game services.
As part of the deal, its QQ Wireless Game Center will be standardised with the GREE platform, enabling content to shared between them.
Tencent will also support companies who've already released content on the GREE platform with localisation and other business development for the QQ Wirelesss Game Center.
