Building on a $20 million funding round and a the success of its mobile game Crime City, social studio Funzio has announced the appointment of Jamil Moledina as the firm's VP of business development.
Moledina, who previously held a similar position at EA Partners, is the latest of a string of appointments at the firm, which has seen its employee base double to 65 during the last six months.

"We are thrilled to have Jamil join the Funzio family," said CEO Ken Chiu.
"He brings a broad range of strategic skills from the game industry, both in terms of sourcing and analysing innovation, as well as creating successful businesses from emerging market opportunities."
"From what I've seen, the future of games is about creating fun social action games for play on any device, any platform, anywhere," added Moledina, who previously served as executive director of the Game Developers Conference.
He will be tasked with managing Funzio's business with platforms and partners, while serving on the executive team.
"Funzio is one of very few companies whose vision and execution are delivering on that goal, and I'm excited to join a team inventing that future."
Funzio was recently named as the only games studio in the Dow Jones VentureWire FASTech 50 list.
