Yesterday, we reported on EA Mobile releasing its first free, ad-funded iPhone game in the shape of Lemonade Tycoon.
However, it's since disappeared from the UK App Store, and judging by comments on Twitter, from other versions of the App Store around the world.
We know it was available yesterday morning in the UK, because we were looking at its product page in iTunes. The title didn't seem controversial, as Apple is happy to allow advertising-funded apps on iPhone.
Meanwhile, we doubt it's geographical licensing issues of the kind that preclude EA Mobile's Scrabble iPhone game being sold in Europe, since the publisher released Lemonade Tycoon here as a Java title some years ago.
One possibility is that there was a problem with the licence itself that has forced the game to be pulled. We have contacted EA Mobile to get the official explanation, and will update this story if we hear any more.
