Metismo's cross-platform production environment Bedrock is now future-proofed with the release of extensions for iPad.
These include the ability to create universal binaries for both iPhone and iPad, as well as handle its unique features and higher resolution screen.
"We're excited to see how developers will extend and adapt their projects for the iPad," said John Chasey, Metismo CEO.
"With Bedrock taking care of many of the technical issues in a cross-platform project, our aim is to let the developer focus on making their content the best experience for the user."
Bedrock enables you to prototype, develop and target your applications, converting Java source code to human readable C++, with support for OpenGL ES and platforms such as iPhone, BREW, Symbian, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, PSP, DS, Flash and HTML5.
Bedrock operates on a site licence basis depending upon number of developers and platforms required but does not charge fees per application or number of units sold.
