Texas start up Spacetime Studios, which debuted with its iOS MMOG Pocket Legends is extending its reach.
Thanks to an undisclosed investment round from Insight Venture Partners, it's announced plans to take Pocket Legends cross platform with additional support for Android and PC.
Part of this push will also see the game's underlying Spacetime Engine improved and productised so it can be licensed to thirdparty developers during 2011.
Playtime everywhere
"The Spacetime Engine offers seamless global multiplayer gameplay to anyone with an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch over 3G, Edge, and wireless networks, and we plan to add Android and PC users to the mix," explained Anthony L. Sommers, Spacetime's co-founder and CTO.
"In the near future, it will be possible to be on the bus in California with your iPhone, playing with someone in a park in France on their Android device, and both be playing in the same server set with someone in South Korea on their PC."
