Having been confined to North America for the last few years, Unity Technologies has announced Unite 12 the firm's annual conference for Unity developers will take place in Amsterdam.
The three day event will kick off on 22 August with a keynote given by founders David Helgason, Nicholas Francis, and Joachim Ante.
The show will then play host to a range of seminars and hands-on demos by both Unity and those operating within its development community.
A European eye
"For us, Unite is the most magical time of the year," said CEO David Helgason.
"This is the best opportunity for the whole Unity team to interact with all of the developers that use the product we work so hard to create.
"We go there to learn as much as to teach: how is Unity being used, what do we need to improve, and what should we do more of."
Unite 12 is the sixth annual conference held by the company - the first playing host to just 70 people. 2011's splash in San Francisco, however, saw 1,300 attendees make an appearance.
Unity will be hoping just as many make the trip this year, with the best Unity-authored titles set to be honoured at the Unity Awards ceremony.
Awesome Amsterdam
"Unite has been in the US and Canada for the last couple of years so we figured a glorious return to Europe was about time," concluded Helgasson.
"We chose Amsterdam because its a fun and well-connected city that also has a strong development community."
Tickets for Unite as well as the Unity training day, due to take place on 21 August can be picked up from Unity's website.
Nominations for the Unity Awards will open on 21 May.
