You want more next-gen iPhone rumours? You got 'em! AmTech analyst Doug Freedman reckons the next iPhone will include Nvidia's Tegra system-on-a-chip (SoC).
Why? Because his tracking of Nvidia suggests that the company is throwing resources into "additional mobile operating systems beyond Microsoft's Windows Mobile and Windows 7 Mobile".
And? "We believe the next OS supported will be company-specific, leaving us to believe it will be either Research in Motion or Apple... Should we have to pick between the two we would favour Apple support as a building block of Tegra is from PortalPlayer, a past supplier to Apple iPod products."
So there you have it. There's supplementary evidence - Apple and Nvidia have been working together on other products, like MacBooks.
Games developers would be doubtless interested if the speculation turns out to be true.
Not that it's likely to be confirmed - thus far, Apple has remained characteristically silent about the components of the iPhone, with many of its suppliers unable to even confirm publicly that their tech is inside the device.
