Welcome to the weekly iPhone Quality Index (Qi) games round-up, giving you the LOWdown on the HIGH scorers every Friday on these illustrious pages.
As you may already know, Qi trawls the web for iPhone game reviews from the world's most respected online and print sources.
Qi then applies its own magic formula to each site (such as 148Apps, Macworld, and iPlayApps) to establish a single definitive Qi score for each iPhone app and game.
Pocket World of Warcraft
Levelling-up our legendary leaderboard this week is Gameloft's ambitious MMORPG Order & Chaos Online, as its fantastical universe acquires six ultra-friendly and very real reviews for an 8.5 Quality Index score.
Once you've chosen your race, gender, appearance, class, and - breathe out - talent, prepare to interact with an abundance of weird and wonderful human-controlled characters in your quest to, well, quest.
The sheer scale, depth, and majesty of this World of Warcraft-alike experience marks the joyfully lag-free Order & Chaos Online out for greatness early on - achieving a series of technical feats by which Gamezebo was incredibly impressed:
"In 589MB, Gameloft has put together a game that might have taken some PC developers 15 gigs to accomplish. To call this release anything short of monumental really sells short what a landmark moment this really is."
A classy affair
And what's that old expression about waiting in line forever, two arriving at the same time, buses, and irritated queues? Yeah, we've all been and stood there.
Well, another French video game developer Ankama has decided to leap on the vast and popular MMO bandwagon, this time mining its own resource to forge the tower defence-cum-RTS Dofus: Battles.
Released as a Flash game way back in 2004, Dofus has attracted a spectacular 10 million players worldwide, its World of Twelve providing the scenery and backstory for this battling iOS spin-off.
Graphical parallels are - ahem - drawn with a certain Final Fantasy episode by AppSpy, who observes that, "considering the game's similarity to a Square Enix title, it's no surprise to see the art-style reflecting the classic Tactics visuals, albeit with a far more polished illustrated finish."
You can get the up-to-date information about which games are reviewing best over at the Quality Index.
