Diary of a Promiscuous Gamer: Spent $5, unlocked a Mini Thumper, waited around for stuff to upgrade
As game executive Bing Gordon famously put it about in 2010, "This is the most promiscuous app audience in the history of mankind".

So this is the weekly diary of a promiscuous gamer.

1. Clash of Clans (Supercell)

Upgraded some walls and upgrading a Dark Barrack (2 days to go)

2. Samurai Siege (Space Ape)

Joined an Alliance. Upgrading two Markets (3 days to go), and one Coin Vault (3 days to go).

3. Friendly Fire (Red Robot)

Upgraded Base to Lvl 4. Unlocked the Mini Thumper. Attacked someone in Italy and won.

4. QuizUp (Plain Vanilla)

Played some games in Novels, Lord of the Rings, History: General, Economics, General Knowledge categories. Noted several spelling mistakes in the questions.

5. Fast & Furious 6: The Game (Kabam)

Played the Daily Races. Upgraded my carburettor.

6. Tank Battles (Gameloft)

Failed Lvl 8 several more times.

7. Stack Rabbit (Disney)

Collected coloured vegetables on my rabbits' head. Completed Lvl 8.

8. Tank Nation (Wormhole Games)

Unlocked second garage slot and built a gating gun tank. Played and won two multiplayer battles. Failed to complete Lvl 10 several more times, despite spending $4.99 on IAP.

9. Galaxy Factions (Coco)

Built a second Transport Ship. Upgraded all Crystal Miners. Built a Missile Barrage and a Shock Turret.

Installed #1: Battle Command! (Spacetime Studios)

Another city/army building strategy game with alliance elements (see above). Building up my base.

Installed #2: CSR Classics (NaturalMotion)

CSR Racing with beat-up classic cars. I prefer the beat-up cars to the shiny ones.

Installed #3 Clumsy Ninja (NaturalMotion)

Not yet played.

Installed #4 Epic Empire (Pocket Gems)

Not yet played

Uninstalled #1: Beyond the Dead (GREE)

Nice monetisation options and great character artwork (see above), but in every other respect a ponderous if not tedious experience.

Uninstalled #2: Romans from Mars (Majesco)

Nice art and characters but not the sort of gameplay that works well as free-to-play. It's a first-person perspective arrow-firing game.

Uninstalled #3: Rabbids: Big Bang (Ubisoft)

99c paid game that would have worked better as a free-to-play game. Sort of like Angry Birds: Space but with Rabbids. As characters, I like Rabbids more than Angry Birds.

Uninstalled #4: Monopoly Bingo (EA)

Oh, momma. What was Hasbro thinking?

Uninstalled #5: Batman: Arkham Origins (Warner Bros.)

Beautifully presented game, but I'm not a fan of touchscreen beat'-em ups.

Uninstalled #6: Backyard Monsters: Unleashed (Kixeye)

The slowest mobile strategy game ever in terms of building upgrade times. Even after four weeks, I had made little progress, and couldn't really work out what monsters did what, anyway.

Weekly recap
