Internet TV station Babelgum already enjoys considerable success with its mobile broadcasting arm, and looks set to strengthen its online viewer demographic after snapping up licences to comedy website Funny or Die's content and releasing an official Coldplay iPhone application.
The Funny or Die short form content is expected to be streamed through Babelgum's mobile application, which is currently available for the iPhone, Android and Nokia smartphones.
Exactly why Funny or Die hasn't released its own iPhone application is unclear at the moment, though the immediate access to a several different platforms provided by a deal with Babelgum is presumably a significant part of the answer.
Continuing its foray into application development, Babelgum has also launched a free Coldplay iPhone application, to help promote the band's new single 'Strawberry Swing'. It includes the video and a game where you help Chris rescue the princess from giant squirrels and flying arrows.
