At Apple's big presentation, where it revealed the third generation iPod touch, Steve jobs took to the stage for the first time this year and announced the company has so far sold a whopping 30 million iPhones.
He was soon followed by senior vice president of product marketing Phil Schiller, who casually announced that the iPod touch has shifted 20 million units, bringing the total number of iDevices out there to a staggering 50 million.
Although this is only a small portion of the overall mobile market, given the feature rich and undeniably expensive nature of the Apple hardware, it's still a staggering feat that Jobs and team should be very proud of.
Jobs went on to announce that iTunes, which just received a significant update to version 9, currently measures over 100 million accounts connected to credit cards, suggesting there are still lots of iPod users out there, too.
