There's something of a cold war going on behind the scenes on iPhone, as companies battle it out to provide developers with social gaming platform SDKs. Chillingo has been preparing its entry into this competitive programming market, Crystal SDK, for a while now, and the official site has just gone live.
Crystal SDK promises simple integration and complete customisation through a white label portal (allowing skinning, so the online and social elements match the game, rather than the branded options such as OpenFeint).
It also allows users to send asynchronous challenges to friends, participate in leaderboards and achievements, and grants full Facebook and Twitter integration.
Developers also receive access to a full support community, along with a wide range of analytics and seamless integration into the popular Unity development engine.
Interested developers can take a closer look at Crystal SDK right here on PocketGamer.biz, and register their interest by signing up over on the newly launched official website.
