As I've just been considering, developers have had enough of the App Store in terms of using it to get attention for their apps, and are taking matters into their own hands.
The latest studio to release its own discovery website is Dundee developer Cobra Mobile, which has soft launched Appulike.
Right now it's only functional via your iPhone or iPod touch's browser, but a standard web version will be live soon. As well as links into the App Store for download, it contains short reviews and other recommendations.
As with such developer-led sites, the majority of games comes from Cobra Mobile, but other titles include Bloons and Bloons TD, from Dundee developer Digital Goldfish.
We expect the range of games to extend beyond developers from the east coast of Scotland in time however.
