Finnish games magazine Pelaaja is reporting that THQ has closed mobile developer Universomo, the mag claiming on its website that the studio has been 'liquidated'.
Publisher THQ originally picked up Universomo back in 2007 as part of its THQ Wireless business.
However, the two had recently run into something of a sticky patch, THQ scaling back its mobile operations at the start of the year while Universomo MD Markku Hakala stepped down from the studio back in January.
Not much else is known regarding Universomo's apparent closure - Pelaaja's own story currently is only available in Finnish - but expect updates as the story progresses.
