One of the many announcements from the BlackBerry Developers Conference was detail of a new payment service.
Part of the BlackBerry Application Platform Services play, it's currently available as a early release SDK for integration into apps and games.
Flexible friend
Among the business models now offered for developers are subscriptions and in-app purchases enabling features such as unlocking gameplay and levels, and pay per use models.
Of course, to use these your games need to be distributed via the BlackBerry App World store.
The system supports RIM's standard 70:30 revenue split, and billing options such as operator billing using Bango, and credit card and PayPal are available as supported by the local App World.
