Qualcomm's FY2010 revenues up 6% to $11 billion
Qualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM) has announced its FY2010 financials, for the 12 months ending September 26.

Total revenue was $10.99 billion, up 6 percent year-on-year.

Net income was $3.25 billion, up 104 percent compared to FY09.

Operating cash flow was $4.08 billion, down 43 percent year-on-year. This was 37 percent of revenues.

"I am very pleased with our performance this year as we delivered record earnings per share and record MSM chipset volumes," said Paul Jacobs, chairman and CEO of Qualcomm.

"In the coming year, we expect continued strong growth in CDMA-based device shipments, including smartphones and other data-centric devices, driven by the global adoption of 3G and accelerated consumer demand for wireless data."

Up, up, up

During 2010, Qualcomm shipped approximately 399 million CDMA chipsets, up 26 percent year-on-year.

It ended the year with cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities of approximately $18.4 billion, compared to $17.6 billion three months previous.

During Q4 2010, Qualcomm's total revenue was $2.95 billion, up 10 percent year-on-year.

Net income was $865 million, up 8 percent year-on-year.

Operating cash flow was $1.09 billion, down 17 percent. This was 37 percent of revenues.
